  • Happy Bosses Day!

Just a Large dose of gratitude to the GREAT bosses I have had over the years.

The curious thing about bosses ... even the ones I didn't like usually taught me *something*.  And perhaps those lessons were more valuable in a weird sort of way - if only because they were more memorable.

Anyways .. just a simple thanks..  and have a wonderful day!

  • What are your favorite desserts and why?

Cookies!   I guess cookies are my weakness.  Maybe it was watching sesame street when I was a kid ... and the cookie monster.   Anyways, I adore most cookies.  YUM    They are easy to carry, tasty and yummy.  Heck, I enjoy cookies so much that I tried the cookie diet!   The diet was fun to try and worked... but well, they really were fiber bars and only barely resembled cookies.  It was great for laughs though :)

For a more "adult" dessert, I would vote on key lime pie.  Not too sweet; nice tang.  Graham cracker crust and whipped cream are nice touches.   Alternately warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

Now you are making me hungry!

  • Affordable Engagement Ring?

What kind of engagement or anniversary ring do you dream about?  Do you care whether you get a diamond ring or would you prefer a different stone?

When I got married, I didn't care.  I got a wedding flute and a simple gold band.  The flute is solid silver with a handmade head (the most we could afford at the time.)  I still love it and play it.

Yet, after a while I wanted a ring.  A diamond ring.  A classy ring which I would enjoy wearing that would tell the world that I am married in big bold letters.   It's is silly in a way .. but I still love the diamond anniversary ring he bought me.  A flawless diamond for my flawless wife.  WOW.  He is a romantic.  (I've been married for 22 years)

So, if you are wanting a diamond ring - but have a fairly strict budget, I found a post on 3 great diamond rings for less than $500. They are amazing.  These seem very affordable - and are reasonably sized (1/2 carat to 1 carat tw) and good quality.  Something that is exciting to wear .. that you too can jump up & down like I did when my husband bought me my ring.

So think about it ... it was worth it for me :)

  • Would you donate your body to science after you die? Why or why not?

    Yes

This gets to be a religious question.  Do you live after we die - and if so, do we use our body?  As to the first, I certainly hope so!  As to the second, getting a worm eaten body doesn't seem like it would be very enjoyable.  Hopefully there is a better way.

So, I believe that once you die, you are done with the body, it is gone.  So, for me, I hope to donate my organs or my body to whatever use they can be.  Maybe it can help make someone who is living life's easier.

I love helping people - it is a comforting thought to be able to help them ever after I die :)
